EDi has a proven track record providing GPS and GIS technology for site characterization and remediation for sites with open lands contaminated with radioactive waste materials. The GPS system is coupled with a gamma detector to collect both coordinates and count data for a given location. The data is then uploaded to GIS software for plotting and producing color contour maps. This technology drastically enhances data documentation and can be used as a remedial action tool to conduct precision excavation. GPS is also used to obtain accurate and reproducible measurement and sample locations.
